*Location:* TX *Duration:* 6+ Months ************ Experience in Airlines Preferred ************ *GENERAL DESCRIPTION:* *Leads a team responsible* for planning, coordinating and administering highly complex computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. Leads less experienced team members. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives. Writes and produces standardized and moderately complex databases. *Qualifications* Specific Requirements** This position requires a strong working experience in *Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Tuning, Unix, Java* (JDBC, Spring JDBC, or other database data access programming experience is a must), any IDE and shell scripting. Experience with at least one scripting language (i.e. PERL, Python, Ruby, etc…) is a plus. Travel Industry experience is a plus. * * *EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent* *EXPERIENCE:* Minimum 6 years related experience; *prior lead/supervisory experience preferred*; Advanced computer software skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate or less experienced team members; proven leadership ability.
