The Deployment administrator defines security, applies patches, and enforces standards. The admin must act as internal consultant for application teams within the organization for workflow design ideas. Create best practice recommendations and periodically application designs. Create complex SQL queries to aid in troubleshooting, maintenance and reporting. Troubleshoot performance and availability issues in common application server configurations (JBOSS, WebSphere, and Tomcat) on Linux/Unix platforms. Understand complex technical information translate it and communicate it to a broad audience. Understand infrastructure as a service concepts and the various deployment models that support them. Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery. Experience with server management, monitoring backup and failover. Able to navigate through rapidly changing business and technical environments. Strong documentation skills as well as organized and proficient with details. Knowledge of Puppet, Chef and uDeploy. Perform after hours support and on call duties Job Requirements: Manage uDeploy configuration, administration, upgrade, security and maintenance of systems, platforms like Web, application and DB tier. Build uDeploy workflows for deployment automation of J2EE and .NET applications. udeploy agent installation and configuration. Support uDeploy security roles and application access. Experience with deploying applications to Websphere, Jboss, Tomcat, .NET, IIS, Apache etc. Use of programming scripts like Bash/Korn Shell, DOS and Powershell scripting. Experience with Continuous Delivery (CD) using automated frameworks. Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools ( eg Jenkins, Hudson) Use of other build and deployment tools like Anthill Pro, Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, ANT etc. Exposure to Cucumber, Chef or other software configuration management tools. Timely security patching and applying support fixes as required by varying compliance initiatives. Support and implementation of the Security policies and Controls as defined and developed by the Information Security team. Validating backup techniques to ensure ease of system recoverability and developing disaster recovery plans. Timely and accurate completion of tasks as defined by the Manager of Infrastructure Field Services. Coaching and mentoring junior DevOps professionals Participate in an "on-call" rotation for uDeploy production support. Minimum Qualifications: 6+ years' DevOps experience related to J2EE and .NET application configuration and deployments. uDeploy or Anthill Pro highly desired, or Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, etc. Dev Ops technology architecture, environment and Infrastructure support. Knowledge and understanding of automating deployment pipeline, ie CD Knowledge and understanding of Continuous Integration, ie CI Demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering and production support. Experience with server management, monitoring, backup and failover. Demonstrated experience with Windows 2008, Linux (Red Hat), Solaris and other operating systems. Preferred Skills: Experience high availability architectures and enterprise system monitoring. Familiarity and experience operating in an enterprise environment using formal procedures and policies required for escalation and outage resolution.
