Please send your available matching candidates on [email protected] Role : Storage Administrator Location : Rye New York Duration: Long Term Interview: Phone/Skype Job Description: • The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Data Centers Operations, Storage, Backup & Recovery, and Disaster Recovery. • The position will be working alongside other Storage and SAN Admins and will support day to day administration of large enterprise storage infrastructure. • This position will be developing, refining and documenting Storage procedures. • Monitoring the daily logs for all production systems and taking corrective action to ensure storage is available. Responsibilities: • Responsible for ITIL processes including change management, incident management, problem management, capacity management, and performance management. • Responsible for maintaining storage documentation and standards. Required Skills: • 5-7 years of experience administering, troubleshooting and supporting IT infrastructure specifically. • Administrating EMC Storage arrays (Vmax and XIO) required • Administrating NAS Storage including VNX required • Administrating Storage virtualization infrastructure (VPLEX and VSP) required • Administrating Hitachi VSP storage hardware and software include replication manager for HUR/SI, command suite and performance Tuning manager is required • All generic storage for the Mainframe, AS/400, and Client Server platforms • Ensures continuous integrity, availability, and performance of storage infrastructure • Tracks current utilization of all storage infrastructure assets • Optimizes storage utilization and infrastructure assets using automated tiered-storage model • EMC SRDF and Hitachi HUR replication to DR hot site • Disaster recovery backups and recovery processes • The design of storage management processes • The creation and enforcement of storage standards / policies. • Analysis and Problem Solving: Provide timely and accurate problem resolution and/or recovery for all storage issues across all processing platforms. Utilizing root cause analysis techniques, develop and implement appropriate corrective services and/or preventive action with the development or technical support staff as required. Provide training and council to members of other groups on new procedures and/or best practices. • Scheduling and Organizing: Effectively structure the resources and activities of oneself and available technology resources to maximize productivity and insure deadlines are maintained. • Technical Planning and Control: Responsible for the planning and implementation of Storage Management hardware, software, and procedures. Create and produce both ad-hoc and scheduled Storage Management Allocation & Capacity Planning reports. Provide training and support to the Operations and user communities utilizing strong interpersonal skills, and clear, concise documentation. • Professional Currency: Keep abreast of state-of-the-art technological capabilities and proposed advances that may improve our operating environment.
