Role: SSIS Architect Duration: 6 months w/option for additional time Location: Troy, MI Overview: The SSIS Architect MUST have prior hands-on experience designing and setting up of ETL environments (dev/qa/prod) and leading/delivering successful Data Migration/Data Warehousing. This individual should have skills to participate in all aspects of the Data Migration/ETL development lifecycle using Microsoft BI technology, with emphasis on Data Quality Services implementation and ETL development. The individual will be working with the data architects/DBAs, and the development team to deliver the artifacts and the code. Requirements: 1. Must have 2+ years of experience in architecting and setting up of ETL environments using SQL Server 2008 - 2012 and SSIS 2. SQLServer 2008 - 2012 (MUST) 3. Strong in T-SQL, Stored Procedures 4. Thorough knowledge and experience with XML and ability to generate, parse and modify XML 1. Participate in customer team meetings and conversations with client personnel to understand business and technical requirements including requirements definition, data quality, ETL (SSIS), and development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support. 2. Create and maintain a variety of related artifacts (e.g., requirements, process models or diagrams, data matrices, project deliverables). 3. Create High Level Design 4. Create Detailed Technical Design 5. Understand Business Requirements and Conceptual Solution 6. Convert Business Requirements into Technical Requirements and Design 1. Should be able to create the following ETL content 2. Be able to profile and create a data quality baseline assessment 3. Create the data transformation & cleansing rules 4. Create Source to Target Mapping Specifications 5. Source to Target Mapping Specifications 6. SSIS ETL scripts 7. Understand the source systems and conduct the data profiling 1. Must be able to conduct Unit Testing and create Unit Testing Results Documents 2. provide Support for QA/UA Testing 3. Some experience in configuration management 1. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 2.
