Performs data modeling, logical and physical database design. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring of standards and procedures, access methods and time, validation checks, organization and statistical methods. Responsible for data loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, and backup and recovery. Executes database software installation, database creations/configurations and loads. Applicant would be working with the systems team. Daily responsibilities: 50% - Move PRPC rules into QA and production 20% - Developing Oracle Stored procedures for queries from other systems against a 12TB payment archive system. 20% - Buildout of new Solaris servers, driving project deliverables from SA, DBA and web-admin teams 10% - Developing Java code to parse incoming and build outgoing files.
