GeorgiaGov Interactive, a department within the Georgia Technology
Authority, is hiring for the position of Drupal Solutions Analyst.The
GeorgiaGov Interactive team manages and supports a custom Drupal Content
Management System (CMS) platform supporting nearly 80 state agency
websites. In addition, the team is responsible for onboarding new agencies,
gathering requirements for new features, partnering with agency customers
to determine and scope out solutions to their web and data business needs,
and creating training and documentation for new development.
Position Summary:
As the Solutions Analyst for the GeorgiaGov Interactive web platform, you
will be working with a small team to translate customer requirements to
technical requirements for the state’s enterprise Drupal platform. As part
of the web product team, you will become an expert in the functionality and
offerings of the platform, and use that knowledge to drive solutions for
state customers. The solutions architect will meet with customers to gather
requirements, review web analytics, write technical documentation, and
write testing scenarios for the testing team. You may serve as the primary
or secondary point of contact for a variety of projects to assist in
customer business needs analysis, and work with customers to find technical
solutions to their needs.
The best candidate is someone with a passion for best practices in
technical writing, user experience and business analysis. You should keep
yourself updated with industry trends and best practices and translate that
to how we as a state can lead by example within the realm of web solutions.
You should be a team player, and enjoy working closely with others to
report, research, and explore solutions to challenges.
Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in customer requirements gathering and discovery meetings
- Share best practices and consult with clients throughout the duration
of the project
- Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer
requirements
- Lead the user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts
- Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in
concert with the Training and Support Specialist
- Participate and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer
- Participate in internal projects as required
Required Skills / Experience:
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in
customer requirements gathering and documentation. Candidate must be
organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to
design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple
priorities in a fast moving environment.
- Knowledge of web-based content management systems architecture,
background with Drupal 7 preferred.
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and compress data and information from
multiple sources, resolve conflicts and differentiate between actual and
required user needs
- Deliver results after thorough research of functional needs by
collaborating and communicating with customers and site users
- Ability to understand customer business requirements and translate
them to specific requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing at a technical level as
well as non-technical level
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into
solution designs
- Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against
business and financial constraints
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or
equivalent preferred
- MS Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in professional services, business
analysis, or technical customer support operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) project methodologies

services for new agencies, support and training to existing agencies, as
well as continual enhancements to the Drupal platform. GeorgiaGov
Interactive also manages the Georgia.gov web portal and social media
properties for georgia.gov.
The GeorgiaGov team is committed to providing innovative web services to
its constituents. A redesign of Georgia.gov launched in 2012 was the first
state portal site to use an adaptive layout. More recently the team rolled
out responsive website layouts to its other 70+ agency websites. Most
recently the team is leading an initiative to improve accessibility to meet
WCAG 2.0 AA standards for all sites on the platform, once again putting

About Georgia Technology Authority:
The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT
infrastructure services to 85 Executive Branch agencies and managed network
services to 1,400 state and local government entities, including
