*Senior Business Analyst, Atlanta GA, *

Candidate will function as a Senior Business Analyst for the Georgia 
Department of Revenue in support of the Motor Vehicle Systems.  This 
position will work closely with the Motor Vehicle Division leadership team 
to transition from the current tag and title registration system (GRATIS) 
running on the mainframe to a new client server based system called DRIVES. 
 This position will be responsible for reviewing business process areas, 
advising on how to migrate and/or change processes to best take advantage 
of new technologies being implemented with DRIVES.  
 
This position will work closely with Motor Vehicle business units and 
leadership to facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and 
resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts 
within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor 
projectprogress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.  

 
The successful candidate will:
 

   - Conduct business analysis to gather, document and manage requirements
   - Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
   - Advocate on behalf of Motor Vehicle and represent their needs as 
   appropriate to senior management, vendors, IT teams, etc.
   - Conduct reviews to verify that the application functionality meets the 
   requirements defined by the Motor Vehicle leadership team
   - Prepare and present documentation, flow charts, executive 
   presentations to both technical and business audiences
   - Work with Motor Vehicle business units, IT teams, technology vendors 
   and DOR leadership to drive decisions, actions and results.  

Required Skills:

   - *5+ years experience working in an IT Managerial role*
   - Strong written and verbal communication skills
   - Strong organization and customer service skills
   - Experience translating business needs into Process Diagrams and 
   Functional and Non-Functional Specs/ Requirement Documents
   - Strong facilitation skills of analysis sessions
   - Strong working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management 
   - Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with 
   complex projects
   - Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field

Preferred Skills:

   - Experience working in a *Georgia State Government role as a leader or 
   manager*.
   - Experience *leading or managing IT application development and/or 
   support team*
   - *4+ years working in a field related to motor vehicle applications*
