Google Maps API Developer, Atlanta GA, A software developer with Google Maps API expertise is needed for a short term project to enhance a web-based map application that will display data points and info boxes on a Google base map. The responsive web application will query data from the Google Maps Fusion Tables based on selections by the user. The application is to be developed using Java scripting, PHP, MySQL, HTML5 and CSS3 and other tools appropriate to Google Map development so as to be compatible with a wide variety of screen sizes, and deployed in a server environment. Requirements: Developer must offer a high level of skill and be able to provide consultative assistance, be able to work collaboratively and independently, and provide high quality knowledge transfer at the end of the project. Candidate must be self sufficient and a self starter, reliable and delivery oriented. 7 years development experience exclusive of college High competence and experience with web page/web site configuration and administration, IIS, networking, WANs, LANs, DNS, firewalls in a complex corporate environment 2 years solid experience and demonstrated skills with Google Maps Geo-spatial mapping API and Google map development with Java scripting 5 years experience retrieving and updating data in relational databases, including at least one year experience with Microsoft SQL Candidate must speak English clearly and understandably. Candidate must be able to work at our facility in downtown Atlanta (on the east side Marta line). Candidate should supply their own development environment (PC and development software) if possible.
