*Job Title – Network Engineer* *Location – San Jose, CA* *Duration – Long Term* *Rate – DOE* *Locals Required / F2F Mandatory* *Job Description* – Develop and maintain automated test suites using automation frameworks and tools, while contributing to their enhancement. · Interfacing with product developers and QA engineers to gather test automation requirements. · Execute strategy for validating new feature implementation. · In an agile development team, address Cisco’s internal and external customer requirements in one or more of the following areas: Network, Compute, Storage, Bare Metal as a Service, Installers. · Report bugs/issues to appropriate group. This position will involve working closely with multiple teams of software engineers, testers. *Minimum Qualifications* · 2-5 years of experience in building automation framework/test suites. · Bachelors or Masters degree in CS/EE or related field required. · Proven track record of working with disparate organizations. · Thrives when faced with a problem to solve. · Effective working independently and in a global team setting. *Desired Skills* · Must have strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell Scripting, C/C++ etc. · Experience in developing and maintaining test frameworks/scripts/automated test tools. · Good understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols and different L2 to L7 technologies. · Must have background in Virtualization. · Experience with traffic generation tools such as Ixia, Spirent, iperf/jperf. · Software test tools and applications. · QA processes and methodologies. · Must have good written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivated, and work well in a team environment. *Good To Have* · Background in mobility, familiarity with LTE/4G/3GPP architecture. · Strong server and network administration skills.
