We have an urgent requirement for Network Administrator. Experience using Appassure is preferred Position: Network Administrator Duration: initially 6 months with extensions up to 2 years Location: Helena MT Responsibilities: The Contractor will: · Manages network hardware, servers, SAN, and clients, as well as network software, such as network operating systems, backup software, SQL servers, and application software, in an Enterprise Windows Environment. · Assists in the configuration and monitoring all hardware and applications, and troubleshoots hardware and applications, as needed. · Manages Virtualized Servers in an Enterprise VMWare environment. · Manages the scheduling and implementation of Microsoft, VMware and other enterprise application patches, service packs and upgrades, as necessary. · Assist in the planning and implementation a backup/storage scheme using Appassure for the agency's information backups, ensuring equipment is utilized efficiently to support agency server, application and data backup requirements. · Manages file, folder and server permissions for access and assigns different levels of access to secure data per technology security policies. · Document internal processes used in day-to-day maintenance and support activities. Participate as a team member, as need, on IT related projects within the division and agency. Perform all network analysis, design, scripting and configuration in accordance with agency, state and professional standards. · Work in a team environment to "brain storm" solutions in order to resolve complex issues, identify potential problems and discover all possible solutions, and/or help in determining upgrade paths that mitigate risks of unnecessary outages, security vulnerabilities, extraneous expenses or wasted staff time. · Work and be available onsite during agency’s regular business hours. · Perform other duties as required Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with, or demonstrated knowledge of, these technical skills are preferred: o Microsoft Windows Server, o Active Directory, o Microsoft IIS, o Microsoft Windows, o Microsoft Office suite, o CMS & SMS, o Microsoft System Center suite, o Appassure, o VMWare, o Microsoft SQL, o Microsoft SharePoint and o system/server monitoring. · Ability to work independently and self-manage · Ability to work well within a team · Ability to build positive working relationships with project and program team members · Excellent oral and written communication skills Required Knowledge and Experience · Minimum of two years network administration experience utilizing all skills listed above · Past Government experience in Enterprise Architecture Desirable, but not required, knowledge and experience includes: · Familiarity developing Enterprise Architecting principles Education Qualification A Bachelor’s degree in computer technologies or a related field is required, plus two years of directly related qualifying experience.
