Role: Middleware Administrator Location: Portland, OR Duration: 9 months Rate: $48.00/hr all inclusive Overview: This resource will act as a Primary Administrator and Support for Middleware technologies including MQ Series, Tibco (good to have) and application servers. Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex, mission-critical middleware installations. Coordinate and direct research efforts to discover modifications and enhancements to existing configurations and procedures. Manage Middleware release and patch levels, technology versioning and product roadmaps. DUTIES: · Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of high-availability middleware and web services that make up the strategic Application Infrastructure/enabling Technologies (MQ, AppServers and Tibco) · Create and update system documentation · Acts as a liaison with application teams and infrastructure teams to define requirements and/or determination of problems · Evaluate overall system performance to develop and implement recommendations to address and resolve issues · Design and implement monitoring and alerting technologies and processes. Off-hours support and on-call rotation with the flexibility to work overtime when required Capacity planning and analysis. · Performance tuning · UNIX Shell scripting (bash and korn shell are preferred) REQUIREMENTS: · 5+ years hands-on experience in System Administration and Support with a focus on Middleware technologies, including at least 3+ years current experience with TIBCO BusinessConnect and BusinessWorks · Experience with MQ Series highly preferred · Experience installing, migrating, upgrading the environment and maintaining deploying and configuring J2EE-environments · Skilled at monitoring performance of software and hardware and recommending and implementing changes to maintain acceptable performance application SLAs. · Experience anticipating future performance requirements to support growth and scalability · Able to develop new technical processes and make recommendations for the improvement of existing processes · Shell (bsh/ksh) and python scripting for administrative automation Experience implementing and managing SSL certificates · MQ Series, Windows, IBM MQ Series, Websphere MQ, UNIX, TIBCO, Jboss Portal, IBM Websphere Messsage Broker (WMB) Thanks, Shalin Patel Sr. Technical Recruiter Cybersearch, Ltd 800 E.
