The assignment is estimated to be 4-6 months in Austin, TX. The main responsibilities will be to work with the business users in manufacturing & quality to: Gather & Define requirements, design, and develop web based database applications in SharePoint. Daily Responsibilities: Work with all levels of the user community to gather and document system requirements. Translate business requirements into effective designs that have intuitive user interfaces which meet business and user needs. Research and track new technologies in order to provide technical expertise in developing applications. Identify and evaluate commercially available solutions against requirements and present recommendations. Analyze and report site performance data to guide development and deployment decisions. Manage and direct requests for system enhancements and support. Assist in planning, scheduling, and controlling key projects. Required Technical Skills and Abilities: Extensive familiarity with software design techniques, testing plans and procedures, and deployment practices which ensure excellent quality, performance, scalability, and availability of the web applications. Proven ability to self-manage projects through the complete software lifecycle. In-depth experience in development and administration on the Microsoft platform (MOSS 2007, SQL Server, IIS, .NET). Experience with Flash, AS3, ActionScript, Flex is a plus. Experience with JIRA is a plus. Astute business judgment with excellent analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to all levels of the user community and translate technical language to lay audiences. Semiconductor Industry Experience is a plus.
