AWS Engineer needed for Los angeles , CA *6 month contract . *
*Local candidates only for now who can attend f2f after phone screen . * *MUST BE AWS CERTIFIED .* • Designing and building infrastructure in AWS using EC2, EBS, ELB, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation. • Linux and Windows server and storage architecture, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. • AWS ELB and/or Netscaler Load Balancer configuration and tuning. • Designing technical solutions to meet business objectives. • Documentation and diagraming of AWS server and storage infrastructure. • 24x7 on-call duties. Qualifications: • Hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment. • 2+ years of experience with AWS, or an Associates-level AWS certification (Architect or SysOps). • 5+ years of RHEL/CentOS and/or Amazon Linux and or Windows server administration experience. • 2+ years of storage administration experience. • Familiarity with the AWS console and CLI. • Understanding of storage technologies including NFS, RAID, Fiber Channel, Storage Area Networks. • Understanding of TCP/IP networking. • Storage administration and storage architecture experience with AWS S3/EBS, Netapp, 3Par, and/or Hitachi. • Experience with and knowledge of server software such as Apache, PHP, Active Directory, Wiki, and SSH. • Ability to develop and troubleshoot shell scripts using Bash, Powershell, and/or Python. • Familiarity with JSON, CloudFormation, and IAM policies. • Understanding of the AWS SDKs and/or APIs a plus. • Experience with configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Opsworks, etc) a plus. • Virtualization administration experience with VMware ESX a plus. • Experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud a plus. • Experience with system monitoring tools such as Zabbix, MRTG, Nimbus, Groundwork, and SNMP a plus.
