Hope you are doing well! *Please find the position below and let me know your availability with the updated copy of resume on [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Technical Specialist* *Sacramento, CA* *1 Years Contract with possibility of extension* *Project Scope* Develop Linux shell scripts for the administration of various COTS products supported by the MTS section. o Develop scripts for performing regular day to day maintenance tasks for maintenance of COTS products. o Prevent component and system downtime of the ldAM stack by proactively overseeing the various products that make that layer; develop or use existing tools to monitor performance, communication and capacity, and evaluate other pertinent metrics for assessing system health o Support the reporting (IBM COGNOS Bl) and other Business Intelligence infrastructure components. o Identify and implement improvements to the existing operational processes within the Middle Tier section. o Design, install, configure and test upgrades of existing products, and support their use in projects or the enterprise environments including production o Analyze and troubleshoot problems with existing systems COTS application; identify and test possible solutions. o Prevent component and system downtime by proactively monitoring Middleware products; develop or use existing tools to monitor performance, communication and capacity, and evaluate other pertinent metrics for assessing system health. o Collaborate effectively with other teams across the organization to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas o Evaluate system performance by ensuring that component are functioning as defined by service level agreements or other benchmarks o Collaborate effectively with other teams across the organization to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas o Direct or participate in the development and testing of prototypes; provide input on the results and make recommendations for use o Develop programs or scripts for automated installation or integration of products o Create and/or maintain documentation of for the supported COTS products including supported standards, protocols, product limitations or workarounds and any non-standard or enhanced configurations. o Support the application infrastructure and environment teams as needed and appropriate *Minimum Qualifications* 1. Three (3) years of experience: a) performing architecture quality assurance for complex projects and initiatives; performing enterprise applications integration (EAi); defining and developing shared services architectures; designing and developing component architectures; and/or defining enterprise technology architectures b) development and test environment management/support c) application build d) troubleshooting and testing support e) script development (Unix/Linux and Shell (i.e. BASH)) f) J2EE design/development g) Oracle databases h) Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, Oracle WebCenter Content, and Oracle SOA Suite i) Middleware/systems integration concepts, approaches and methodologies, as well as a broad understanding of hardware and software components and enterprise integration architectures j) training technical staff formal and informal k) mentoring technical staff 2. Three (3) years of experience: IBM COGNOS Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite *Desired Qualifications* 1. Experience with version control systems 2. Experience with automated test tools 3.
