Mentoring of designers for detailed design. Development of technical design guidelines and standards, governance of standards, and review of actualization of implementation across projects. Development of enterprise design view and application to project level. Essential Functions: Develop and Maintain Standards, Procedures, Guidelines and Best Practices Act as an internal consultant, mentoring junior designers Review all Project Level Data Movement Designs for adherence to Standards and Best Practices Suggest changes to Project Level Designs Develop New Data Movement Design Patterns where Required Guide the Coding and Testing of standard data movement reuseable components Requirements: Strong Analytical and problem solving skills. Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development. Understanding of XML and SQL Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Good grasp of data movement approaches and techniques and when to apply them Good understanding of different changed data capture approached and techniques and when to use which Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner Ability to understand complex Business Processes and their relationships Able to independently keep up to date with latest trends in technology affecting TIS Healthcare background with in depth knowledge of at least one payer subject area Strong hands on skills in DB/2 SQL, DB2 Physical Database Design, DataStage, Unix, CDC Tools and Approaches. Exposure to Teradata, Java, MQ, Teradata Utilities Conceptual knowledge of Performance Monitoring Tools, ER/Win, SOA, Enterprise Modeling or IBM HPDM Skills: Java Spring, Web Services (Restful / SOAP), .Multi-threading experience, Message Protocols (MQ, TCP, etc.), RDBMS experience, DB2, Transactional Processing high volume. Position requires a strong Java developer that can provide technical expertise and design/development across several applications. Development will be Java based with integration to web services, Cassandra, and Hadoop. Some MQ/JMS development may also be required. Design/development will be in support of business driven enhancements.
