*Project Coordinator,  Atlanta GA, Long term, Rate $60/hr.*

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Information 
Technology is seeking qualified candidates for the position of *Integrated 
Eligibility System (IES) Project Coordinator*.  

This contractor will assist the State Staff build the new Integrated 
Eligibility System (IES).  The IES will provide statewide administration of 
public assistance programs which includes Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, and Child 
Care. 

 

*Responsibilities*:

The Project Coordinator will assist the Project Managers in project 
planning development and specialize in project control. This candidate will 
be required to utilize MS Project and other project tools to manage the 
operational aspects of the project, supporting the PM by facilitating 
meetings, taking meeting notes and updating project plans/schedules. An 
understanding of the full project life-cycle is a requirement. The 
Coordinator will be expected to ensure schedules and tasks are completed to 
meet milestone timelines as developed in the project schedule. The Project 
coordinator is also responsible for gathering the information needed to 
coordinate a project and will perform various administrative tasks. These 
tasks include filing project documents, creating and maintaining project 
schedules, creating responsibility lists for those who are involved in the 
project, and compiling summaries for those who were involved. This role 
acts as the Project Administrator working under the direction of the 
Project Manager and must be able to communicate and interface at different 
levels of the organization.

 

*Job Duties*:

- Coordinate and obtain approvals for all change requests, particularly 
regarding scope and timelines.

- Facilitate periodic project update meetings for functional and IT teams. 
Update to include status, progress, risk and any issues that may have an 
impact on project delivery.

- Manage the MS Project schedule, working with the team to keep it 
continually updated.

- Draft meeting agendas and meeting minutes.

- Assist in the development of project plan/schedules as needed.

- Generate and maintain mechanism for tracking project status and processes.

- Implement project administrative tasks according to requirement.

- Manage user requests during the different phases of the project.

- Assist in preparation of project status reports and keep Project 
Management team informed of the progress.

- Schedule and facilitate Requirement and Design sessions.

- Attend sessions, take/distribute meeting minutes, and follow up on any 
questions.

- Monitor SIT/UAT and Track/Report the Results on a daily basis.

- Work with the External Vendor on the User training material.

- Schedule and facilitate the user testing and training sessions.

- Provide additional administrative support as required.

 

*Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree or specialized training in a related field

3 years' experience in the last 5 years in an IT environment with project 
coordination and/or project administration experience.

Hands on experience using Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel, 
PowerPoint, Visio, Project and SharePoint

Solid MS Project skill

An understanding of the full project life-cycle

Strong written and oral communication skills

Must be detail oriented and highly organized

Previous experience working in an outsourced environment

Previous experience in State Government

Previous project manager experience in the last 2 years
