External Interfaces Administrator, Atlanta GA, Long term, Rate $60 to $70/hr . Job Description: External Interfaces Administrator is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and monitoring electronic data interfaces with external sources and vendors. Specific Responsibilities Include: 1. Design, develop and implement electronic data interfaces with external sources and vendors. 2. Monitor electronic data interfaces with external sources and vendors. 3. Install and maintain IBM’s Connect:Direct on Red Hat Linux and/or Windows. 4. Install and maintain SFTP on Red Hat Linux and/or Windows. 5. Manage and request secure certificates. 6. Assist other members of IT, such as Application Development, Operations, Distributed Systems and Systems Programmers in the resolution of system hardware and/or software problems. 7. Monitor performance of the system hardware and software. Isolate, correct and improve operational efficiency through changes to the software packages or reconfiguration of hardware. 8. Perform appropriate Change Management duties to comply with IT policies and procedures. 9. Perform appropriate Incident Management duties to comply with IT policies and procedures. 10. Review security at system level and provide recommendations for improvements. 11. Report progress on a weekly basis of status on all assigned work tasks in a written report. 12. On call support and occasional weekend onsite support. Required Skills: 1. Experience with Linux/Unix. 2. Experience with installation of software on Linux/Unix. 3. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, EXCEL, WORD and Visio. 4. Experience in large data center operations, specifically change control processes and application migration 5. Good communication skills. 6. Good people skills. Preferred Skills: 1. Redhat Linux 6 or above. 2. Microsoft’s Windows Server 2012 or above. 3. Shell scripting or other scripting or programming language (PowerShell, Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP, C, Java). 4. IBM’s Connect:Direct. 5. Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications. 6. Microsoft’s Active Directory. 7. Microsoft’s Exchange. 8. Dell’s Batch Processing Environment (BPE) or Transaction Processing Environment (TPE). 9. Advanced degree from an accredited college or university. 10. Strong understanding of IT operational processes and familiarity with standards and trends in the industry relative to IT processes and security. 11.
