*General Description:* 

The State Board of Worker’s Compensation (SBWC) implemented Integrated 
Claims Management System (ICMSII) system in Feb 2016. Application is being 
supported by in-house development team. Application is built on Linux 
platform using Alfresco (enterprise content management – ECM), Oracle and 
J2EE. The application is accessible via web application, EDI (electronic 
data interchange), and scanning/imaging. This is a citizen facing web 
application, allows for complete processing of workers compensation claims. 
Currently, serves around 2,800 external and 200 internal users.

 

Incumbent Project Manager will serve as a business partner and liaison with 
SBWC senior leadership to ensure bug fixing/enhancements to improve end 
user satisfaction.  SBWC plans to implement phase2 with a goal to add 
reports functionality, bringing in additional users onto the system and 
also plans to automate additional business processes.

 

Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and directing the 
project team, which requires a high level of cross-functional integration.

 

*Project Management experience:*   

   - 6 to 10 years of Project Management experience in progressively 
   complex projects with a development cost range of $1M and up and a duration 
   of between 18 months and 3 years.
   - Experience in dealing with business process management applications 
   with online, imaging (scanning) and electronic data interchange (EDI) 
   interfaces.
   - Experience managing technical and business team members.
   - Experience to review and improve post-production processes to enhance 
   end user satisfaction.

 

*Education requirements: *

   - Bachelor’s degree Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, 
   Computer Science and Management Information Systems or a related field from 
   an accredited college or university.
   - Project Management Professional (PMP)

*Major Responsibilities: *

   - Risk Management – Identify and mange risks
   - Establish production support processes and ensure continuous 
   improvements
   - Establish shared common objectives among business and technical teams
   - Validate business requirements, constraints, and assumptions with 
   stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables.
   - Establish clear scope for phase 2 and secure sign-off on all 
   requirements.
   - Develop a project schedule and obtain approval from the team members 
   and business owner.
   - Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using 
   appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan 
   accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in 
   the change management plan, and facilitate business owner acceptance.
   - Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve 
   the project goals.
   - Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance 
   with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team 
   members.  Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to 
   mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks 
   on the project.
   - Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in 
   order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any 
   variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all 
   stakeholders.
   - Formalize final acceptance for the project from the business 
   owner/executive sponsor by ensuring that the delivered end-product and 
   services comply with the agreed deliverables list, agreed scope, and any 
   organizational procedures in order to close contractual obligations.
   - Ensure transition of support to state staff.
   - Contribute to establishing technical documentation, knowledge 
   management, and cross training to ensure smooth transition to support team
   - Follow project management methodology using the standards, policies, 
   and guidelines set forth by the Georgia Technology Authority (GTA).
   - Prepare monthly dashboards and report to the GTA Critical Project 
   Review Panel.
