*Job Title: ECTP E911 Telephony SME (Project)*
*Location: Brooklyn, NY  11201 (Need Locals)*
*Duration : Long Term*

*Scope of Services:*
The successful candidate will serve as a Public Safety Enhanced 911 (E911)
SME reporting to the DoITT E911 Project Manager.

Responsibilities of the E911 SME will include:
Provide Subject Matter expertise as well as management and oversight
services for ECTP E911 Project.
Identify risk and possible issues related to the E911 project, provide
input and mitigation strategies.
Prepare updates to the E911 Communications Plan.
Analyze and validate the E911 vendor SOW including changes and
modifications to support NYC requirements.
Analyze and recommend vendor Service Level Agreements in support of the
City of New York.
Advises on installation, configuration and deployment of telecommunications
equipment, including but not limited to IP switched/router/based networks,
SONET and optical networks and application of Cisco hardware. Directs
implementation;
Assist the City with Outside Plant Project activities, Ring down line and
Crash phone planning and implementation.
Assist in integration of E911 systems used by other agencies and by
liasing between
Integration team and E911 vendor to address interface requirements of other
work streams.
Monitor E911 Project schedule and identify and communicate gaps in
integration that require resolution.
Provides recommendations on requirements and delivery, including compiling
risk and issue reports.
Assist in the implementation of recommendations or mitigation actions.
Verify E911 vendor deliverables and related documents and provide technical
feedback.

*Mandatory Skill/Expertise*
At least 8 years of Public Safety Communications experience;
Experience overseeing large public and/or private organizations engaged in
the design, deployment and sustainment of E911 Telephony systems, Telephony
infrastructure, Custom Facilities Build activities, testing, security and
system transition.
Experience planning and implementing a major metropolitan E911 Telephony
system in the last 3 years.
Knowledge of project management, E911 Telephony system architecture,
design, deployment and experience working with technical and non-technical
staff;
Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
This role requires extensive relevant Public Safety Telephony and Enhanced
911 (E911) design, implementation and administration experience, including
Contact Center products (Vesta DMS, CCMIS).
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent analytic, organization, presentation and facilitation skills;
Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
Ability to interface with executive level management and give senior level
presentations as required

*Desirable Skill/Expertise*
10+ years’ experience in  designing  and  implementing   complex Telephony
  and/or  Public  Safety  emergency  communications  systems  within
 medium to  large scale Public Safety Agencies.
