Immediately the demands for this position are to take over the current projects of: . SharePoint 2010 to 2013 and 2016 enterprise design and migration project and drive to deliver the global landscape and hosting of the Intranet services from our corporate communications organization. This is a highly visible project . Project Server 2013 project for our global Customer Service and Support organization which leverage this critical platform for managing new customer deployments of our technology Operational Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have very high levels of visibility and subject matter expertise for the infrastructure to ensure the platform is built for warranty. This includes deploying operational support requirements for our datacenter/helpdesk operations. To be successful the candidate needs to: . Be able to develop operational processes and procedures for managing incidents and changes . In addition to developing the process and procedures the candidate must also release these process in a way which can leverage VIT personnel regionally to carry out the procedures as assigned and where appropriate. . Own and maintain the core architecture of the SharePoint and Project solutions and services to develop the technical roadmap to support the business demands . Define and monitor costs (direct and indirect) of the platform and drive out defects and inefficiencies from within the environment . Technical capability to design platform solutions to support scalability and reliability within framework of vendor specifications . Penultimate escalation point with the organization as the SME and the interface point between internal IT and external partners/suppliers for the SharePoint and Project stack of technologies . Partner with the SQL DBA resource to share responsibilities for the environment Requirements: . Specific training, skills and experience needed to perform the job typically requires seven (7) years' experience in senior level technology design and support within an enterprise of over 6000 employees. . At least 5 years of implementation and escalation support of common three tier Microsoft centric application platforms (Web front end, application, and MSSQL servers; i.e. SharePoint) . 5 years of IT experience in implementing enterprise business platforms . Solid understanding of SharePoint environments with at least 5 years of senior product management, design (not administration), implementation, capacity planning, and data migrations . Ability to understand business needs and translate them to technology solutions . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to consult effectively with senior members of the organization. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired. . Ability to work in a team and motivate others . Strong communication, organization, problem solving and diagnostics skills . Ability to communicate up, down, and across the organization is paramount to this role's success and impact within the company . Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements Experience in these areas a plus: . Knowledge of the basic concepts of document management and experience with LiveLink, SharePoint, or other document management applications as it relates to discoverability . SharePoint workflow design and use for delivering business forms and targeted communications . SharePoint data migration and administration tools such as Metalogix .
