*Job Title: Systems DBA * *Location: Rochester, MN* *Description: * The Systems DBA responsible for the maintenance and support of moderately complex database systems software at one or more sites. Actively monitor and respond to technical database problems utilizing diagnostic testing tools and techniques as well as assist in managing overall database capacity. Interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Expected to contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom databases, and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased databases, plus the configuration and support of DBMS applications across sites. Produce and maintain documentation such as systems requirements, designs, resource inventories and plans. Must of knowledge of system design principles, software development methodologies, project management methodologies, and some computer programming and/or system support experience. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Advanced knowledge of multiple operating systems, including configuration, internals, and maintenance processes. Additional must-have qualifications are: strong verbal and written Communication skills, project management and problem solving skills, and basic IT knowledge of hardware and software systems *Specific Job Details:..* This position will provide Microsoft SQL Systems DBA support for operational tasks including database/instance migrations, creating new databases, troubleshooting SQL issues and supporting customers. Hours are M-F, 8 to 5, but will participate in the SQL Team 24x7 on-call rotation. *Qualifications:. *3+ Years experience providing operational support as a Microsoft SQL Server Systems DBA in a large scale environment.
