*Job Description*
Seeking a strong, motivated database developer to support various
applications/reporting written using Microsoft technologies. The applicant
will be amongst a small team working closely with end users to gain an
understanding of business processes and reporting requirements.
*Responsibilities:*
- Develop and enhance database objects to support daily business
functions
- Develop and enhance reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting
Services
- Perform data analysis and reconciliation
- Provide technical support to end users
*Required Skills / Qualifications:*
- Degree in computer science or information systems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience:
- implementing and testing database design and functionality
- working with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
- working with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
- developing database objects and structures for data storage,
retrieval and reporting
- A thorough understanding of relational database theory and practice
- Able to diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues
- Able to providing support to database and network administrators
- Able to communicate with business users in non-technical terms
- Able to work in a small team environment and directly with end users
- Strong analytical thinking and adept at problem solving
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good task management and organizational skills
*Preferred Skills:*
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server Analysis Services is a plus
