This is not a typical QA role. *It requires hands on experience with Oracle, Linux and VM. Must be able to play around with creating databases and privileges. Test the data quality, so good SQL experience is required. *Financial data experience is preferred. *Responsibilities: * • Coordinate and set-up Oracle database releases on LINUX and Windows platforms • Proactively work with business analysts, developers and tech support to gather missing product requirements. • Test software releases by validating requirements, performance and data integrity. • Understand and test automated delivery of data updates to client databases. • Review requirements and software design to develop test cases and release hand off instructions. • Write SQL queries to validate software functions. • Regression test existing functionality in new releases. • Maintain full traceability between requirements and test cases by writing detailed test cases. Maintain transparency of work. • Provide accurate estimates and daily status updates. • Automate manual test cases to increase productivity. So Perl or some scripting experience is desired. • Execute manual and automated test cases.
