*Sr. Performance Engineer Position Overview:*
This Sr. Performance Engineer will be a major contributor in the
implementation and scaling of a company-wide internal clinical application
system. The scope of work will include:
- Aid in selecting and integrating new performance tools/diagnostics
- Assist in determining benchmarks for performance as well as
establishing algorithms for scalability
- Responsible for analysis and tracking against determined benchmarks
- Suggest and help implement meaningful improvements to improve
scalability, stability, and user experience
- Optimize SOA by running/working with Ruby and Java-based application
stacks
- Performing Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure optimization
- Facilitate Full-stack performance profiling and bottleneck analysis
- Perform Root-Cause Analysis
*Required Skills for the Sr. Performance Engineer:*
- 8+ years of experience in Performance Testing/Performance Monitoring
- 7+ years of stress testing experience
- Experienced in testing performance in an Agile environment
- Expert understanding of:
- Industry best practices for client–side performance tuning
- Server-side performance tuning best practices
- Application server performance tuning best practices
- Metrics and how to use them to track goals/KPIs
- The impact of application design on performance
- Excellent communication skills and able to work well with
cross-functional teams
- Experience utilizing the following technologies/testing methods:
- Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, Performance Analysis, and Web
Performance Monitoring/Tuning
- Load Runner scripts - Recording, Correlation, Setting Parameters,
Selenium scripting
- Load Testing, Stress Testing, DB Node fail over, Breakpoint testing
- Programming/development experience in Ruby on Rail, Python, C/C++ or
Java
