The candidate will design, code and test full-stack Java-based web application software using an Agile methodology. Use sound software engineering and object oriented principles to ensure that developed code is maintainable, efficient, reliable, understandable, secure, fault tolerant, and of high quality. Key Skills: J2ee, Web services (REST Based), Spring, Hibernate, JSON, XML, Java, JSP *Responsibilities* - Design, develop, maintain, and deliver highly scalable and reliable software using web technologies. - Collaborate with other engineers and product owners to develop a scalable solution that satisfy requirements and meets performance criteria. - Write high-quality software code that complies with design specifications, and meets security and Java/J2EE best practices. - Create design components, develop code, and test changes using an agile methodology. - Write automated test cases. - Use a variety of tools to perform unit testing, regression testing, automated builds, and source control. - Develop close working relationships with team members including client and other contractors. - Design technology solutions that are capable of integrating with other components. - Mentor and guide junior team members. - Conduct code reviews and provide feedback. - Participate as a team member in Agile teams, and work with other team member to review user stories, estimate and create sprint backlogs, participate in sprint reviews, demos and retrospectives. - Use software tools in cooperation with continuous integration while supporting software reuse and refactoring. - Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements. Required Skills: - At least 12 years’ experience developing complex, enterprise level JEE applications - At least 2 years Agile Scrum experience - At least 1 year of focused experience designing, implementing and tuning JBoss Fuse - Agile Software development process experience. - Hands on experience in Servlets, JSP, EJB/JPA and one or more frameworks like Struts, JSF or Spring. - Experience in developing REST services using Resteasy, Java Jersey or JAX-RS. - Experience in one of the following ORM tools Hibernate, iBatis, JPA - Experience in at least one of the following configuration management tools: Clearcase, PVCS, Subversion and build automation tools such as Ant, Maven, BuildForge or similar. - Experience in at least one of the following integrated development environments: IBM RAD, Eclipse or JDeveloper. - Prior J2EE application development experience on JBoss Application Server/SOA-P or other similar J2EE application server. - Experience authoring and performance engineering SQL queries and stored procedures on MySQL is desired. - Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and WS* standards in addition to hands on experience coding XML Web Services using JAX* API and tools like Axis are strongly desired. - Must also have Unit Testing experience.
