Sr.Automation QA Engineer Albany NY 5+MONTHS C2h *Rate:$35/hr* *//ONLY EAD,GC,USC//* *Description:* · Develop, maintain, and implement software Automation framework. · Manual testing when needed for familiarization of systems · Communicate with Systems team to understand/clarify requirements · Identify and prepare test data for testing · Has worked with defect tracking system · Provide regular updates/status to automation test lead and communicate any risks in a timely manner · Participate in automation framework reviews · Maintain automation documentation · Provide mentoring to the testing team as required · Assist with performance test scripting
*Personal/Soft Skills:* · Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. · Ability to work well in a fast paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment. · Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously, · Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently · Must be organized and detail oriented. *Experience / Education:* · Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience · 7+ years’ experience with software automation/performance testing required *Technical Skills / Knowledge Required:* · Demonstrated proficiency with SQL for creating/modifying queries is a must. · Experience testing web based/workflow applications · Strong scripting skills preferably in JavaScript, Unix shell scripting, and Python · Basic object oriented programming, preferably Java · Scripting experience with performance tools such as JMeter · Source code management system, preferably Subversion (any other related experience is fine) · Experience with xUnitFramework (JUnit and/or TestNG) and build tools such as Maven, Ant. · Familiar with Behavior Driven Development · Strong SQL for data validation · Worked with Java Applications · Experience in regular expressions, web services. · Worked with XPath, Dom, CSS. · Worked with Automation Tools and familiarity with Scripting languages, HTML, creating and validating XML · Experience with testing tools for test case management and defect management · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Project, and Excel). · Excellent analytical skills. *Additional Skills / Knowledge Preferred:* · Automation of Reports testing is a plus · Healthcare Industry experience is a plus. · Experience with Oracle Financial applications or any other Financial packages. *Additional Experience Preferred:* · Experience testing in Agile/SCRUM environments. · Experience working in mid-large scale projects preferred. · Experience with 508 testing.
