*Required SkillsVoice Engineer Responsibilities *To provide technical
SIP-based telephony and network engineering support and analysis in a broad
range of information technology areas including the planning, design,
development, installation, operation, and enhancement of the voice network.

Primary responsibilities are: To provide Voice over IP (VoIP) technology
expertise and associated technical support evaluating and resolving complex
technical issues related to the voice network. Plan, design, implement,
monitor and maintain all components. Consult and work collaboratively with
internal departments and vendors to ensure a quality call experience for
our customers. Perform IP network analysis and monitoring to insure peak
performance and quality of the voice traffic.

*Essential skills *
Provide project design, development and installation support for MACD
(moves, adds, changes, deletes). Installation and implementation of Cisco
communications and telephony systems.
Analyze the existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions based
on requirements
Set up, configure and test components of the Cisco IP Contact Center
including Cisco Communications Manager and UCCE.
Implement, and/or maintain Cisco Unified Communications systems including
but not limited to CUCM, CUC, Unity, UCCX, UCCE, CUPS, VG, CUBE, CER, CVP,
Finesse, Jabber, etc.
Lead Engineering efforts of UC and Contact center Projects
Maintain and support Cisco’s IP Telephony and IPCC Contact Center
Enterprise and all related Cisco IP telephony infrastructure
Ability to plan, design, implement and upgrade Cisco Unified Communication
Manager, Unity Connection, Presence, UCCX and UCCE systems as well as
related network hardware and software
Ability to debug and diagnose root cause and resolve telephony issues
Provide technical expertise solving complex system integration and
performance problems.
Perform operational and administration tasks and configuration changes.
Recommend operational enhancements. Respond to customer inquiries.
Maintain system integrity and performance by tracking and monitoring IP
telephony call and network statistics as well as other performance metrics.
Resolve system issues and trouble calls by working with vendors and
internal workgroups.
Assist in planning, reviewing and conducting work activities and
researching required project information associated with department
internal/external projects in
accordance with established task objectives and project plan/contract
schedules. Leads/project manages small to medium sized projects.
Willingness to work extended hours as workload and deadlines require; be
on-call 24x7 on a rotational basis to respond to operational issues as they
arise.
Perform level 3 technical support and escalation for network and
telecommunications voice issues.  Maintain a strategic understanding of the
existing infrastructure and its relationship to the business.
Ensure compliance with international regulatory voice guidelines.


*Qualifications Requirements *
At least 3 years of technical data networking experience to include
knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, VoIP, SIP and QoS
At least 3 years of IP telephony and telecommunication systems design and
configuration experience to include call center and enterprise telephony
components.
Experience with Cisco CUCM, Unity, Cube, Contact Center Express and
Enterprise,
Experience with Global VoIP implementations
Knowledge of Network and VoIP systems design and operation
Telecommunications configuration and design; knowledge of Unified
Communications
Familiarity with server operating systems (Linux, Windows) and application
software
Solid understanding of networking tools used for monitoring and
troubleshooting and an understanding of networking concepts (specifically
VLAN, QoS, PoE)
Knowledge of voice and data communication protocols (H.323, SIP, LDAP, RTP)
Knowledge of infrastructure planning and design
Knowledge of concepts of the system development lifecycle
Knowledge of solid testing methodologies
Keen understanding of traditional TDM technologies and how they integrate
into an IP communications environment
Requires an advanced level of competency in complex voice technologies,
networking technologies, and international standards.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN security
Strong understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP,
TFTP, VLAN, QoS, VoIP, BGP, OSPF, SIP Trunking, MPLS, Multicast

Preferred skills and experience
The ability to analyze an end-to-end protocol trace to identify network
connectivity issues is highly desired
Experience with Cisco/Tandberg video technologies desired
Cisco CCNP Voice certification Preferred
