Formulates and defines process for managing and consolidating business requirements across work streams. Assume leadership role in defining business requirements. *REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES (listed in order of importance):* · Conduct sessions to define business requirements. Gather requirements, ask probing questions, document findings and incorporate feedback. · Take lead role in working with business customers (internal and external) and demonstrate expertise in the healthcare business. · Mentor business analysts in methodology for defining ICD-10 mapping processes and documenting business requirements. · Participate in functional specification and design reviews, validating business aspects. Offer expert advice to technical staff. · Provide support to business areas. · Lead the development of business requirements, business design specifications, and process flows within and between departments. · Participate in all project management tasks and deliverables as identified in the attached ICD-10 program schedule and resource projection spreadsheet. · Perform additional tasks as assigned by BCBSRI program manager. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:* · Business analysis facilitation skills. · Verbal and written communication skills · Business requirement document writing · Strong analytical skills · Superior organizational skills · Negotiation skills *Must have:* · Familiarity of the CMS GEM’s and Reimbursement maps and processes · Experience in healthcare business processes · Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) · Ability to prepare traceability matrices · Experience preparing test cases Prefer: · UML Experience *QUALIFICATIONS:* *Minimum Education and Experience:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience. · 5-8 years business analysis experience in a healthcare environment. · Effective presentation skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
