Job Description: 

This individual will have proven experience with Configuration Management, 
Development Infrastructure Management, and DevOps. The qualified candidate 
will possess excellent technical, organizational, communication and 
documentation 
skills as well as demonstrate the ability to succeed in a team environment.

 

Principal Responsibilities & Essential Duties

·         Contribute and review ongoing improvements of the implementation 
of standards, methods, and procedures for Software Configuration Management.

·         Responsible for supporting, scheduling and deploying to QA, Staging 
and Production environments.

·         Primary owner of test, build, release process in development and 
production infrastructures. Responsible to execute standard software build 
plan, deploy software to all development and production environments, 
continuous 
improvement of release processes including using  

          automation, manual tools and methods               

·         Linux Engineering and Administration - RHEL preferred. Must have 
experience with environments around 300 servers or more. 

·         VMware - spinning up new VM's, troubleshooting. 

·         Work with project teams to employ best practices in source control, 
continuous integration and delivery, automated test execution and release 
management 
to all development and production environments.

·         Focus on Process and Environment Automation, Source Control, 
Virtualization 
and Build and Release Solutions.

·         Work with SysAdmin’s and DBA’s to diagnose issues with deployed 
components.

·         Design, develop, maintain and support high-quality in-house software 
build systems for Enterprise class software.

·         Designing, training and implementing source code control management 
best practices. 

·         Develop and maintain our internal release management process.

·         Creation and maintenance of an automated build/release scripts and 
plans.

·         Communicate effectively with members of software development and 
other project related groups to ensure processes and project objectives are 
met.

·         Requires after-hours release support, so a flexible time schedule 
is required. 

Requirements

·         5+ years of experience as an SCM/release engineer, automation 
engineer 
or in a position with similar skill sets and responsibilities.

·         Experience with two or more development infrastructure tools 
including 
Subversion/GIT and Artifactory, Bamboo, Jenkins, Pulse or other CI.

·         Experience with Linux, Windows Server, VMware.

·         Experience with Linux scripting – Bash, PHP, Python, Ruby.

·         Experience building J2EE applications using build tools like Ant, 
Maven/Gradle.

·         Scripting Knowledge for automation.

·         Ability to occasionally work early, late, or on weekends, as projects 
demand is required.

·         Must be a self-starter and able to work well with others in a 
fast-paced 
agile environment with an emphasis on collaborating and assisting the team 
to meet business objectives.

·         B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
