This is a new group within Building Products and this resource will be helping them plan the BI vision/strategy from the ground up. This resource will help Building Products-IT understand how to get from where they currently are to the desired presentation for consumption (as well as help them understand and/or decide what the best “presentation for consumption” is for their organization). Currently, they rely heavily on Reports/Dashboards/Spreadsheets; ideally they would like to get away from having to produce this information on an Ad Hoc basis and move into an automated, self-service model so Lines of Business can obtain whatever information they require by themselves or with minimal assistance. · Must be comfortable working in an environment with minimal structure. · Must have previous experience designing/planning/developing BI strategies for other medium to large organizations with large datasets. · Must have previous experience providing recommendations on tools/techniques/best practices in the Business Intelligence space. · Must be able to challenge ideas; take initiative/ownership; work collaborative environment · Must not “be above” getting hands-on and helping to execute the strategy. · 5+ years experience developing and executing BI strategies (need someone that knows the technologies, and then be part of the execution team.
