*Job Title* Data Warehouse Analyst II *Project Location* Madison, WI *Duration* 36 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI:-TELE+IN-PERSON/SKYPE* *JOB DUTIES:* - Work with advanced-level accountants and other business customers to understand their data analysis and reporting requirements. - Design data warehouse table structure to satisfy business requirements, identify data source, develop strategies for data extraction from source systems, design transformation and loading into data warehouse target systems. - Develop, implement, and follow technical and process standards. - Develop strategies for system fault tolerance, data recovery and purge; work to improve the efficiency of data warehouse applications through the use of indexes, compression, and other techniques. - Work within both formal and “agile” application development project management methodologies. - Function as a database liaison on the business intelligence team. ***Expected to be a 3 year contract*** *BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:* - Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business. - 6 years of data warehouse related experience: design, development, data flow, structure modeling, performance tuning, etc. - 5 years of experience with user testing, system testing, and user acceptance test plans (UAT). - Experience as a developer in a very large complex organization. - *Preference will be given to qualified candidates familiar with State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures and development standards. * - *Preference will also be given to candidates with experience with insurance and accounting data and data warehouses. * *TECHNICAL SKILLS:* - DB2 - Oracle 10g or 11g - *Business Objects XI 3.1 (Designer, Deski, WebI) * - *Informatica 8.1.1 * - *Oracle PL/SQL * - *ERWin * - SQLNavigator - MS-Team Foundation Server - Distributed Control-M job scheduler - Visual Studio 2015 - Agile and project management methodologies - MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word - Knowledge of Tableau, Python and other business intelligence tools is desired - Knowledge of Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Program - Knowledge of all phases of the SDLC *SOFT SKILLS:* - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
