POSITION - CONTRACT CTP Risk Application Developer *DESCRIPTION OF ROLE* The CTP Risk application developer will be responsible for re-write of existing legacy risk analytics application. The existing application exists on Delphi/Sybase platform; the strategic platform for CTP is Java/Oracle, and the application developer will be expected to drive the re-engineering effort, subject to very demanding time constraints. The application developer will report to and receive direction from the CTP IT project manager but will be expected to work largely unsupervised on a day to day basis and must therefore be possessed of sufficient presence and gravitas to enable productive interaction with high activity business colleagues. *PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES* · Work closely with business users to assess and analyse requirements and propose timely solutions for same. · Develop agreed solutions using established technology framework · Ensure existing solution is adequately documented to enable migration to strategic technology model · Assist and drive project to re-engineer to strategic technology model. · Participate in global and local technical initiatives · Comply with all group and local procedures & strategies *TECHNICAL EXPERTISE Mandatory:* - Java 1.5, Oracle 11g - Experience of financial risk application development *Desirable:* Delphi, Sybase 12, Unix, JavaScript, Websphere, CVS *EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS* · Minimum 3 years of experience working on risk systems, with in-depth knowledge of at least 2 of the following asset classes: Equities, FI, Credit Derivatives, Commodities · Previous experience in implementing VAR calculation methodologies and Oracle Analytics a plus. · Excellent organizational and communication skills; fluent spoken and written English · Self motivated, innovative and analytical · Strong attention to detail and accuracy · Dynamic personality and enthusiastic · Pro-active attitude and willingness to make suggestions for constructive improvement *If interested, please reply with resumes matching above requirements along with these details:* Have you consulted with your candidate on above requirement?
