Title: Data Architect Location: Alpharetta, GA Job Type: 6 Months- Contract to Hire *Note: Only GC/Citizen/EAD* *Responsibilities:* • Review current operational data structures and recommend optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted • Help develop and maintain standards pursuant to data structures and models • Work with clients, business analysts, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases • Work with data base administrators to migrate complex large scale applications into system test and production environments • Work closely with 3rd party vendors to integrate selected packages • Recommend and evaluate new tools and methodologies • Provide full-life cycle architectural guidance and ensure quality technical deliverables • Serve as a data technical strategy expert and lead the creation of technical requirements and design deliverable • Develop schemas for all business applications. *Qualifications:* • Consultant must have Five (5) or more years of experience as a Data Architect in an enterprise-class setting • Must possess very solid background in complex data modeling; experience with operational/transactional systems is required and experience with data warehousing/business intelligence is a plus • Experience with internationalization/localization required • Must possess a minimum of 5+ years experience with an enterprise data modeling tool, preferably ERWin • Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of RDBMS experience, preferably Oracle. Must be knowledgeable in data types, change control implications, and performance (particularly indexing) • Experience with full life cycle phase software development is required • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interact with business users as well as technical staff and Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills required • Must possess skills to facilitate requirements gathering/analysis workshops • Must possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility, and self-confidence. • Need Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
