Job Title : Hadoop Developer Location : Charlotte, NC Duration : 1 Year + Extendable Interview Mode : Phone / Skype Requirement: Hadoop Developer with 5 – 8 years responsible for the coding or programming on the suite of Hadoop toolsets. This role is for a senior level developer within the RCITT space which will work on multiple domains within the space. Experience in “bigdata? technologies such as Spark, Mapreduce, Hive, Pig, Oozie & Impala. Ability to work in a fast paced, evolving, growing and dynamic environment Ability to work with and influence others. Ability to think system wide and translate business requirements into code. Strong analytical skills with a data driven approach and ability to measure impact of project. Strong experience and ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency, in writing complex SQL queries and elaborate processes. Willingness to explore new ideas and have a passion to make them happen. Job Responsibilities: · Solid knowledge of the Hadoop development and implementation. · Play a significant part in designing, architecting, developing and delivering an enterprise data architecture solution on the Hadoop ecosystem. · This expert will work collaboratively with various teams, as well as counterparts in the Data Architecture and Project Management roles. · Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design. · Perform analysis of vast data stores and uncover insights. · Maintain security and data privacy. · Create scalable and high performance components for data tracking. · Test prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams. · Propose best practices/standards. · Create workflows using Oozie. Skills Required: · Excellent knowledge in backend programming, specifically Java, Scala, shell Script, python and OOAD · Collaborate with development leads to ensure performance and scalability of mission critical applications are feasible. · Take leadership for identifying and resolving SQL development and schema issues · Develop, lead and communicate a talented team in a highly agile Scrum environment. · Collaborate with core technical leadership team for new solution vision, product selection, presentation and delivery. · Knowledgeable in big data technologies stack Spark,MR,Hive,Pig,Java,Oozie,Sentry,Impala,HBase,Casandara, SparkML, Graphx. · Hands on experience in handling different file formats like Parquet, Avro, XML & Text. · Understand and adhere to data security requirements and practices. · Hands on experience with a variety of data tools such as RDBMS, noSQL, Spark, Teradata and SQL etc. Proven success and career progression with respected industry leading companies. · Writing high performance, reliable and maintainable code. · Ability to write Map Reduce jobs. · Good knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. · Expert Hands on experience in HiveQL. · Knowledge with data loading tools like Sqoop. · Knowledge of workflow/schedulers like Oozie. · Analytical and problem solving skills, applied to Big Data domain · Expert understanding with Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and Sqoop. · Should know build management tools like Maven, Ant. · Excellent aptitude in performance tuning, multithreading and concurrency concepts. · Portal development would be good to have along with other J2EE technologies. · Prior experience working in an onsite/offshore model. · Prior experience working in a Banking and Financial domain would be a plus?
