Senior Software Engineer
*Productivity, Research & Litigation Solutions (PRLS): *Develops and
delivers technology solutions for the legal community including Corporate,
Government, General Sector and Investigative Markets. These technology
solutions are focused on creating products that enable our customers to be
more effective and efficient in managing their complex workflows and
investigations as well as performing legal research on the WestlawNext
platform.
*Key Responsibilities & Technologies*

   - Web application development in .Net based development environment
   - Develop web application components using JavaScript (including common
   libraries), HTML, and XHTML
   - Develop server based software with Web Services and other XML based
   technologies
   - Implement OO designs using Design Patterns in presentation and
   business tiers
   - Execute on test driven development
   - Develop software that operates within a highly scalable distributed
   multi-tiered system
   - Participate with business units using agile techniques and practices
   to identify requirements, acceptance criteria and designs
   - Create, review, and maintain technical documentation. Work
   independently, with minimal technical and management guidance
   - Take ownership of problems
   - Provide input into assessment and training/mentoring of junior team
   members
   - Delegate work breakdown tasks to other developers
   - Write and modify software using industry and company best practices
   - Create and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code meets
   requirements
   - Participate in project planning sessions to understand requirements,
   provide design options, and provide work breakdown estimates
   - Account for the quality and timeliness of own work
   - Maintain and grow applications according to business and technology
   priorities
