*Role: Linux System Engineer* *Client: 3M (direct client)* *Interview: 1st phone, 2nd Face 2 Face * *Duration: 1 Year contract * *Linux Systems Engineer responsible for developing and executing deployment packages for deploying, automating, monitoring and supporting high-availability Linux-based servers and applications in cloud hosted environments including Amazon Web Services.* The system engineer is expected to be highly skilled and knowledgeable in industry-standard tools, architecting systems with automation for security, scalability, reliability, and performance, requiring minimal work direction and provides best practicing sharing within the work group. *This includes system administration, server patching, supporting upgrades and resolution of production problems in a timely manner for operational systems*. *Basic Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology or related is preferred but not required) or 2+ years relevant and equivalent experience · 7+ years of experience functioning in a Systems Administrator capacity is required. · Minimum 5+ years of experience deploying and supporting monitoring solutions in co-located facilities, managed virtual, and/or in public and private clouds. · Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting Linux based applications in hosted environments. · Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting Linux operating systems and solutions using automation. · Experience with PKI infrastructure and certificate management · Ability to work after office hours as required for support and deployments *Please have your candidate fill out the matrix & return with the resume, * *please include contact information so that I may speak with you candidate.* *3M Required Skills* *Years of Experience* Experience functioning as a Systems Administrator (7+ yrs required) Experience deploying and supporting monitoring solutions in co-located facilities, managed virtual, and/or in public and private clouds.
