Ø Experience with Big Data Platforms:
o Hortonworks or Cloudera;
o HDFS/MapReduce, Hive, Kafka, Sqoop, Flume, Solr, Apache Spark, Storm,
Oozie, Ranger/Sentry, Ambari/Cloudera Manager, Zeppelin, Anaconda/Continuum;
Ø No SQL: HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Accumulo, Phoenix;
Ø Graph DBs: Neo4j, Titan, Giraph, AllegroGraph (not exhaustive);
Ø Database: MySQL, SQL Server;
Ø 3rd Party Analytical Libraries: R, Matlab;
Ø Programming/Scripting Languages: Java, Scala, Python, JS, Node.js, Pig,
SQL (not exhaustive)
Ø Machine learning &/or Predictive Analytics expertise;
Ø Familiar with presentation tools – e.g. Tableau, Platfora;
*Educational Background:*
Ø Minimum degree educated;
o Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics (applied &/or Statistics),
Physics;
*Experience:*
Ø Ideally Investment Bank/Financial Market Expertise;
Ø Used to working with stakeholders & delivering to aggressive timelines;
Ø Able to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment where new
data/requirements keep flowing in rapidly/constantly;
Ø Familiar with agile/sprint based approach to requirements & design;
Ø Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed
design based on Big Data & Relational Data architectural landscape;
o Leveraging new Data Lake architecture and combining data from other
golden source repositories;
o Specification/implementation of ingest, modelling & extraction patterns;
Ø Experience in performing analysis of vast data stores and uncover
insights;
Ø Testing of prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams;
Ø Strong written & verbal communication skills;
Ø Able to work as part of small team & autonomously;
1. *Big Data Dev: *
· +5 Years - Hadoop experience: Sqoop, Webhdfs, Kafka, Flume, HDFS,
Spark, HBase, Parquet, Sentry, Oozie, Solr
· +5 Years – Java 8
· French
· English

* Data Analyst: *
+5 Years - BFS / Markets Background / Trade systems such as Summit,
Murex, Paris, etc..
· +4 Years - Hadoop experience: Batch, Kafka, Flume, HDFS, Spark,
HBase, Parquet
