Explains technical solution possibilities and constraints. Ensures smooth implementation of the new solution into the business environment. Elicits business requirements and reviews options with customers and end-users directly or through subordinates to ensure complete testing with few defects or unexpected problems. Required Skills PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Improve business analysis conventions a. Use appropriate requirement elicitation techniques to gain a full and accurate understanding of business requirements. b. Use approved and appropriate documentation templates to document requirements in a thorough and accurate manner. c. Assist with testing where needed, clarifying requirements to testing team and developers. d. Provide assistance to the business customer in planning for the change management tasks needed to implement the new solution including: training materials, approach, roll out strategies, transition to functional operations and communication plan. Translate technology solutions to business needs a. Communicate technical solutions to the business customer. b. Review documentation of requirements and change management with business needs to ensure full understanding and, where needed, acceptance. c. Explain any technical issues or open questions to business customer. d. Contribute to and improve the conventions of business analysis. Translate business needs to technology solutions a. Communicate business objectives to technical team. b. Document the business requirements to translate them into a technical solution that meets business objectives. c. Document and communicate all open issues or open questions about business process or procedure so that the project team is aware at all times. d. Identify and recommend improvements in business processes. MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY Does not generally have people management responsibility but may lead or direct special projects. May assists with the review and evaluation of assigned personnel. Required Experience EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, related fields and/or equivalent experience required. EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of business systems analysis or related experience required. Project Management experience a plus Expert level in Microsoft Office tools Expert level in *Microsoft Visio,* business process diagrams Specialties: Business Intelligence, ERP or Corporate back office functions, IT Infrastructure OTHER: Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skill. Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team. Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Following-up until resolved” skills a must. Ability to work well as a team member.
