Telecom Engineer Middletown, NJ Duration: 6 Months Contract Role Description: The Telecom Engineer would need to have at least 2 years of experience. This Candidate will be responsible for design, installation, daily management, and support of the data communications hardware/software for Ethernet LAN, Wireless, and WAN networks. The technical assignment will involve hands-on work, working in the field and frequent installations/support calls after normal business hours. Skills Required: - 9+ years of technical undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. - Minimum 2 years of experience with Ethernet LAN (s) and WAN topologies. - Minimum 2 years of experience with TCP/IP protocol. - Experience with Category 5e and Category 6 cabling, including terminations, standards, and troubleshooting skills. - Experience with Fiber-optic cabling, including terminations, standards, and troubleshooting skills. - Experience with Cisco access points, routers, and switches. - Experience with VOIP. - Knowledge of PC hardware and software especially communications software. - Strong analytical capabilities. - Ability to learn new technology quickly. - Ability to plan and set direction. - Demonstrated teamwork/interpersonal skills. - Provide project management and planning skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
