Deliver high-quality business systems designs, analysis, and programming products on schedule, within prescribed resource limits, and in accordance with requirements and departmental standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in and contribute to the project, own assigned tasks, produce time estimates and detailed specifications for assigned tasks, demonstrate business knowledge, resolve problems. Requires moderate direction and possesses solid knowledge of SDLC. 1) Participate in all phases of system development life cycle (define program requirements, code, test, debug, and document) with moderate guidance, following SDLC processes, application processes and quality validation (when appropriate.) 2) Ensure all deliverables and milestones are met. 3) Work closely with all team members to ensure proper understanding of requirements and deliverables. 4) Follow all Baxter standards and policies. 5) Trained on and adheres to Baxter Quality procedures. 6) Develop time estimates for assigned tasks. 7) Design and develop JAVA code in support of defined requirements. 8) Responsible for unit testing of code developed. 9) Provide frequent status updates to Project Lead. 10) Ensure knowledge transfer occurs during the project life cycle. 11) Responsible for the design and development of all documents for Baxter applications (technical design documents, change control forms, scheduling forms). Qualifications: Strong, structured programming skills in technologies used and experience in all phases of systems development. Solid analysis and problem solving skills. Database knowledge. Ability to coordinate and work with internal and external resources. Ability to work independently and apply good problem-solving techniques. Excellent written and verbal skills. Knowledge of SDLC and quality principals and the ability to apply them to system development. Must be a solid team player, able to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or 3-4 years of relevant technical experience. Experience with external customer facing applications. Experience developing n-tier applications. 3+ yrs experience developing Java applications and commercial software. *3+ yrs experience with SQL and Oracle database integrations. * 2+ yrs experience with JD Edwards ERP ideal.
