*Location: Dallas, TX *
*Duration: 1 year contract – phone hire*

*Description:*

   - The individual in this position will work as a member of a global team
   and will be working in Contractor´s office.
   - A high degree of working hour flexibility along with time zone
   awareness and consideration for cultural differences is required.
   - The Unix System Administrator’s role is to operate and tune Unix/Linux
   systems, servers, and related components to ensure high levels of
   availability and security of the supported business applications.
   - Unix System Administrator also participates in the planning and
   implementation of policies and procedures to ensure Unix/Linux system
   provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals,
   industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
   - Deploy, maintain and operate internal and external servers and
   services. Server hardware and software, networking, storage and
   applications running on one or more variants of Linux.
   - Participate in projects to ensure that performance and capacity
   requirements are met, and regional expansion is accommodated. Expertise in
   UNIX platform support and ability to quickly learn the software application
   are essential.


*Skill Requirements: *

   - 10+ years of IT experience
   - Strong knowledge on Red Hat Linux (Mandatory).
   - Strong knowledge on HP-UX (Mandatory).
   - Prior experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining UNIX /
   Linux servers, networks, and clusters.
   - Advance understanding and prior experience in using HP OpenView and
   other performance monitoring tools.
   - Understanding of SAN technologies.
   - Must speak, read and write English fluently.
   - Possess strong coordination skills.
   - Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience.
   - Able to refine requirements from business end users, update technical
   design specification documentation.
   - Act as a mentor and focal point for more inexperienced admins.
   - Technical Analysis & Problem solving skills.
   - Able to be productive when working asynchronously with colleagues
   located around the globe.
   - Maintain Linux/Unix core systems.
   - Performs OS/Software installations and/or upgrades as required
   - Analyzing, designing and developing the upgrade process for release of
   applications and servers.
   - Researching and troubleshooting technical issues.
   - Developing and promoting standard operating procedures.
   - Ensuring UNIX workstation/server data integrity, as requested by
   company’s controls.
