The role requires deep expertise in Big Data development and Java. Client has great benefits and perks, including equity. *The Role* As a Big Data / Java Developer (Client), you will use your expertise and experience in the following areas and activities to deliver solutions and services to our customer: • Develop new capabilities to enhance the analysis of data supporting cyber security. • You will have the opportunity to work and grow your expertise with a team of software engineering and cyber security experts working to tackle the cyber defense issues of the modern military with creative and innovative solutions. • In order to be successful in this job, we expect that qualified candidates will have the following skills, experience, and credentials: • 8 years’ experience with java server side development • Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD security clearance • Experience building applications using Spring Framework • Experience developing large interconnected enterprise systems for commercial clients • Experience developing applications that require a multi-tenant server/client with or without clustering • B.S. in Computer Science or related field (preferred) • Experience developing with Apache Kafka (preferred) • Experience developing with Message Queues like ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ and Mosquitto (preferred) • Experience with object oriented databases like Postgres, MySQL, RedShift and MSSQL. (preferred) • Experience working with Apache Hadoop (preferred) • Experience working with map reduce technology including Apache Spark. (preferred) • Experience developing JavaScript and python based micro services.
