Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization
to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in
the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT
organization’s systems and capabilities. Analyzes business partner’s
operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine
opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assists in the business
process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates
high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT
organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT
organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and
commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT
from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses an
understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring
solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s
competitive edge. May make recommendations for buy versus build decision.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business
Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Typically has 6+ years of relevant technical or business work experience.

Individuals applying for the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst role are
able to manage and identify business intelligence requirements, reporting
needs, and assist in data analysis. They work closely with cross functional
Comcast teams to turn data into reliable, critical information, knowledge,
and digestible reports that can be used to make sound business decisions.

We’re looking for an energetic, innovative BI Analyst to help educate and
train clients to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the
information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and
options in data driven decision-making. Analyst will work with
CIMA/XBO/eBIZ clients to determine business requirements, priorities,
define key performance indicators (KPI), and develop BI data driven
decisions and strategy. This includes working with business and development
teams to design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. This
individual will be accountable for providing assistance and facilitate
initiatives in information gathering, structured documentation and
presentation of findings to all levels of management. They will conduct
analysis of functional business processes and functional business
requirements and participate in the development of business use cases in
the support of the All Digital Program.

This person’s role will be to understand how data is turned into
information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key
business processes.

*Responsibilities include:*
•           Collaborate and assist the CIMA/XBO/eBiz team to organize BI
work stream projects into the CIMA/XBO/eBIZ platform
•           Educate business partners on usage and training of
CIMA/XBO/eBIZ software and tools
•           Assist in the work stream planning process including use case
development and testing of Big Data solutions
•           Develop work plans and assist with the integration of work
streams into other project timelines to meet project goals
•           Advises how BI processes, practices and technologies play a
critical role in improving the customer experience and overall optimization
for the All Digital Program
•           Assists with exploring the data and helping to discover
patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends (i.e. Data Mining
and Machine Learning)
•           Evaluates business needs and abilities to help with providing
appropriate Big Data solutions
•           Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

*Requirements:*
•           Minimum of (3) three years of experience working with Big Data
Platforms, Services and Tools
•           Familiarity with data analysis, trending, and reporting
•           Familiarity with Data Warehousing storage and retrieval and
archiving
•           Familiarity with AWS Redshift Data Warehousing
•           Familiarity with AWS Kinesis real time event streaming
