*Role : **IT Network Security Analyst – Firewall* *Duration : **Contract to hire position* *Location : Scottsdale, AZ / Cumberland, RI* *Client : TCS/ CVS* *Position Summary:* This individual will participate in a team of network security professionals in a 24x7 Enterprise IT Security Operations organization. He/She will be part of the enterprise infrastructure of the Network Security team, such as implementation of firewall rules and VPN administration. The Network Security Analyst will perform activities in accordance with CVS Caremark Policy and security best practices. Strong network expertise with a security mindset is critical to success in this role. The successful candidate must have demonstrated technical skill sets to maintain, troubleshoot and deploy network security technologies. High level communication skills are essential to successfully translate business requests to technology and security requirements. *The Analyst, IT Security Operations - Firewall is responsible for but not limited to: * · Firewalls and VPN · Troubleshoot enterprise environment for network access issues, infrastructure failures and performance degradations · Participate 24x7 on-call rotation management for production issue resolution • Ability to perform infrastructure changes during non-business hours, including nights and weekends · Optimize Network Firewall rule sets to require minimum access necessary, in addition to optimal device processing · Configure, upgrade and maintain devices to latest code releases and performance improvements • Collaborate with various IT and Non-IT functional groups to ensure effective service delivery of secure network access for internal clients for all environments · Stay current on the latest network security threats and vulnerabilities to take proactive actions to secure the enterprise environment. · Participate in infrastructure and security incident management processes to derive root cause and after action reports. · Participate in on-site network and security audits related to PCI, SOX, HIPAA, etc to demonstrate effective network security enterprise controls. *Required Qualifications:* · 1 -3 years experience working in an information security or network management related field in a enterprise environment · Technical proficient working with one or more of the following Network Firewalls and VPN technologies such as: CISCO ASA, Palo Alto · Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Network Routing Protocols, VPN Encryption tunnels Leadership skills to engage peers in thoughtful security discussions, critical issue resolution and effectively communicate network security threats. *Preferred Qualifications:* · Certifications such as CCNA, CCNA-Security, CCNP, CCNP-Security, and GIAC encouraged · Experience working with IT core infrastructure i.e. Cisco, HP, IBM, CA, EMC *Education:* · Graduation from a four-year university with a degree or major course work in computer science, telecommunications, networking, engineering or other computer-related field of study preferred. · Equivalent work experience will be considered · Need a senior person with experience in Cisco ASA firewalls and VPN devices – Palo Alto experience is a definite plus *Shubhangi Sharma United Software Group Inc.. 565 Metro Place South.
