Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Senior Software Support Engineer will actively contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation and support of highly-scalable client-server based software applications. Demonstrated experience successfully prioritizing, planning, organizing and executing software development projects in a fast paced dynamic environment. *Position Comments:* Responsible for the triage of reported production software issues, identifying defects, providing well considered patches, as well as determining current limitations and compatibilities between subsystems, selection of new concepts and methodology, preparation of technical requirements and software design specifications and development of major routines and utilities. Candidate will be asked to demonstrate coding skills during the interview. Several questions will be asked requiring the candidate to white board how to code the example/use case in Java. The knowledge area is “Core Java”. (Not Hibernate/Spring).
