Position: - Linux HP- UNIX System Administrator. Location: - San Jose CA
Duration: - Long Term. Rate: - DOE. Job Description. Must be RHEL Certified candidate. Must have 8 yrs+ of experience with Linux and HP UX Must have 5-6 yrs+ of experience with HP UX ( versions 11.11&11.12) Must have 3 yrs+ of experience with VMWare ESX (versions 3.5 &4.0) Experience with clustering , oracle RAC on Linux environment is preferred o Working knowledge of Vmware ESX 4.x; ESXi o Skilled in Redhat Linux 4x, 5x (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg mgmt, patch mgmt) o Working knowledge of hpux 11.1, 11.2 (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg mgmt, patch mgmt) o SAN storage technologies (like rdf, snaps, etc) preferably with EMC will be plus o sound volume management skills preferably hp lvm will be plus o clustering experience: HP MC/SG, GFS, Veritas Clustering and Oracle RAC on Linux o Basic level scripting (either shell or perl should be fine) but should be capable of understanding other shell scripts Strong technically in Linux , HPUX and VMWare ESX Servers * Good trouble shooting knowledge - OS and Hardware. * Knowledge of EMC & NetApp storage products/tools * Knowledge in LVM, VxVM, DNS, DHCP, NFS, HP Service guard & VMware * Ability to work with users to detail service delivery requirements and system functionality. * Tasks include large system configuration, systems troubleshooting and design, high level problem analysis and tool design. * Ability to order, configure and install equipment. * Ability to repair, reconfigure and install servers/clusters * Ability to work closely with DBAs, client teams and management ensuring that systems are managed per established service level agreements. * Ability to manage cases to resolution, refresh/copy databases using Unix commands & scripts * Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects, large and small with varying degree of complexity * Ability to work under tight timelines and pressure * Ability to work cross-functionally in a global team environment * Be flexible in work hours to accommodate global teams and business needs If interested please send us your resume with visa, rate and contact details ASAP.
