Need: Senior Software Engineer / .Net developer *Washington, DC (Must currently reside within 1Hr of DC!!)* Developer for 3+ months starting 9/27. Rate: $45/hr. * * Sr. Software Engineer - .Developer of .Net applications who has at least 6 years of work experience developing software programs on VB .net and designing reports using reporting services. The incumbent will work with the group on enhancing an existing database application written in VB .net and SQL 2008 and work in the development of data integration tools to integrate the application with other systems . *Responsibilities:* - Analyzes, designs, develops code, tests and implements complex software modules for an existing system application ISIS. - Develop product enhancements to the software according analysis and requests done on previously on ISIS workshops. - Ensures all deliverables have solid design documentation, commented code that meet standards, and optimized code - Provide support on the development of a standardized file formats to receive data from other systems and to be imported to ISIS. Using business integration tools and scripts develop standard procedures to integrate with other systems. *Education & Requirements: * - Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience with a proven ability to support and develop software programs. - 9 + years of work experience developing software programs including selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. - Must have Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 database development experience including stored procedure development and schema design. - Must have Microsoft .NET development experience: - Visual Basic .NET - C# - ASP.NET , ADO, - SQL Sever 2005 /2008 - A thorough knowledge of Microsoft operating systems. - Knowledge of client-server architecture - Must have experience using XML and XML based technologies. - Experience implementing Web Services - C++ experience on Windows platforms helpful, but not required. - Demonstrated ability to follow and apply standard procedures on advanced software engineering tasks. - Familiarity with Health Surveillance Systems is desired - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to organize and schedule work phases. - Work independently and as a member of a project team. - Good interpersonal, trouble shooting and analytical skills. - Working knowledge of Spanish language desired Linda Monalisa Aim Computer Consulting N.
