*Role: WebSphere Admin*

*Location: Valencia CA*

*Duration: 12 Months Contract*



To effectively provide technology solutions and support that meet or exceed
customer expectations, ensure maximum system uptime and meet designated
SLA's. Research, develop and define system specifications; analyze and
evaluate appropriate modification and enhancement requirements. Provide
systems support, testing and

maintenance and take corrective action to ensure compliance, reliability,
accuracy, consistency, and ease of use.

*Position Requirements*

• Strong skills in WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere
administration and development required, OS level patching, WAS and SDK
upgrades.

• Strong knowledge of n-tiered web application and architecture required

• Strong WebSphere Application Server troubleshooting and problem solving
skills required. Review server resources and scripts to monitor resource
utilization

• Experience in WebSphere and major subsystems

• Expertise in MVC, WC Command framework and key architectural patterns.

• Proficient Programming Skills in Java, JavaScript, JSP, taglibs, CSS,
EJB, Struts

• Experience in WebSphere Authentication

• Experience in WebSphere Configuration

• Strong knowledge in Databases required.

• Strong knowledge in IBM HTTP Servers(IHS), specifically configuration,
plugins update, rewrite/redirect rules



*Education/Experience:*

• Bachelor’s degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an
Information Systems position.

• Should have at least 5 years in WebSphere architecture and development.



*Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: *

• Technical knowledge of web engineering concepts including but not limited
to configuration of the following solutions.

• General knowledge of Java and .Net applications configuration.



*Database connectivity using ODBC/JDBC.*

• Security, authentication, SSL, LDAP systems account permissions.

• Messaging, JMS.

• Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows, VM Ware OS CLI and shell
scripting.

• Knowledge of networking concepts DNS, load balancing and clustering
concepts.

• Web services configuration.

1) KRA:  Research & Analysis

Percentage of Time:  40%

1. Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems
efficiently and effectively, while interpreting data and arriving at
accurate conclusions.

2. Researches, develops and administers the integration of new policies and
procedures into company systems.

3. Performs and/or reviews quality assurance testing to ensure objectives
are met.

4. Identifies opportunities to improve and develop existing processes and
presents these for review and discussion to department and/or business
representatives for consideration.

5. Provides reliable and accurate results through research and analysis



*2) KRA:  Customer Service and Teamwork*

Percentage of Time:  20%

1. Maintains a positive attitude, is open to opinions of others and listens
carefully to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service.

2. Encourages collaborative teamwork, synergies and open communication to
foster a team-oriented environment.

3. Listens carefully to customers and contributes creative ideas to resolve
difficult requests, responding with value-added solutions and is able to
implement action plan to achieve customer goals.

4. Provides exceptional knowledge of product and services to satisfy
customer needs.



*3) KRA: Project Management / Planning*

Percentage of Time:  20%

1. Manages deadlines and deliverables to ensure all elements of the project
are delivered on schedule and communicates effectively with colleagues and
customers.

2. Identifies risks that could impede project success and/or specific
deliverables and suggests options.

3. Demonstrates flexibility and reschedules priorities when changes arise.

4. Participates in creating and maintaining project plans and project
status.



*4) KRA:  Compliance *

Percentage of Time:  10%

1. Follows all company policies and procedures during daily operations of
the job.

2. Follows all department-specific policies and procedures.

3. Promotes a harassment-free environment.

4. Ensures compliance of all software & system licensing.



*5) KRA:  Culture Management*

Percentage of Time:  10%
