hiring manager: The WISD team is responsible for managing the procurement,
installation, maintenance and disposal of all infrastructure that supports
the Wells Fargo Wholesale Line of Business. This includes Treasury,
International, Specialized Financial Services and the Asset Management G!
roup. Critical to our success is the Planner role, which is responsible for
facilitating the relationship between the technology organization and the
various lines of business by managing and supporting the delivery of
technology products and services. Planner accountabilities include:
Technology selection through gathering & reviewing customer
information, working with technology teams to determine if standard solution
will work or if custom solution is necessary, and recommending the best
option to the customer, including providing guidance on leveraging new
technology.
Requests sizing estimates and reviews for reasonableness.
Ensures service quality and cost-effectiveness of solutions.
Monitors higher profile projects to ensure requests are met
on time and within sizing, keeping all parties informed of impacts and
changes.
We are currently in need of a Planner that will work across our lines of
business and coordinate the strategic planning, logical and physical
decommissioning of individual servers and applications. These decommissions
may occur as a result of an application decommission, a technology refresh
of existing infrastructure, or identification of unused infrastructure.
Responsibilities would include:
Working with the executive sponsor to develop a systematic
approach to decommissioning.
Lead discovery activity for WISD decommissioning efforts,
including inventory analysis, physical inspection, and coordination with the
application, WISD and enterprise teams.
Coordinate the logical shutdown of hardware.
Coordinate the physical shutdown of hardware.
Manage reporting of decommissioning activity at a project
and program basis.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business
supplemented by technical course work
Master's degree strongly preferred
Five to ten years proven and progressive experience,
including 2-3 years in project management and three to five years in a
specialized critical technology with a proven track record utilizing the
specialized discipline
Strong communication, project management, analytical,
lateral thinking, planning and problem solving skills
Strong knowledge of project management, businesses
supported, and industry trends, detailed knowledge of a critical technology
discipline and broad knowledge of various technology disciplines
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement technology and
the development of a comprehensive methodology regarding how and where area
of expertise will benefit the business and have orchestrated the utilization
of this technology and developed metrics for tracking its success. .
The ability to apply multiple technologies to business situations,
identifies and applies productivity improvements, and blends the technical
environment with strategic direction.
Additional Qualifications:
1. Significant experience in information technology, with knowledge of
Mainframe, Client Server, e-Technologies, EAI.
2. Experience in all SDLC phases.
3. Experience with decommissioning hardware, including distributed systems,
network devices and storage.
4. Knowledge of the Wells Fargo systems and processes, including PTP, STAMP,
CREST and REMEDY.
5. Project Management experience with software development initiatives from
Project Planning through Implementation 6. Exceptional Interpersonal Skills
and Capabilities A. Ability to quickly learn new business areas, business
processes and supporting systems B. Excellent Communication Skills (verbal,
written, presentation). Experience working with technology teams and all
levels of business management C. Motivated, willing to take ownership of a
broad range of responsibilities for the success of the organization D.
Demonstrated success in fast-paced, dynamic settings 7. Exp building &
supporting internal partner relationships.
8. Knowledge & understanding of the Wholesale Business, esp Treasury, SFS
and AMG.
