Strong HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS and XML programming skills, including “table-less” coding practices. Proficiency in JavaScript, Flash, Adobe Photoshop/Image Ready, Adobe Illustrator, and Macromedia Flash. The ability to create clean, precise browser-compatible code and reusable code libraries. Knowledge to turn business and user requirements into elegant user interfaces and compelling interactive experiences. A comprehensive portfolio. Excellent communication skills and a respect for other perspectives. Expert conflict resolution skills, with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders. Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across multiple projects, under tight deadlines. And it’s a big plus if you have the following: Experience with Web site localization issues and Web accessibility standards. Experience with IBM Web Sphere, JSP, Swing and Struts (a definite asset, but not required). Degree in marketing, visual communication, graphic arts, computer science or related area.
